You can find a beautiful and informative folded rock, from which you can see the earth - plates movement very well, only a few hundred meters in the south of the Loreley - plateau at the Spitznack. The puff - paste structure is called exfoliation. In the potter´s earth schist this structure is so fine, so that you can break it into smaller pieces. With this material, people built their roofs of their houses in former times.
Imitated products and more cheaper imports replaced this high quality Rhine schist. |
